Preparation

Floatation therapy is an easy activity, no real preparation needed! We do
suggest not to shave, wax, or tan at all on the day of your float session
or within 24 hours of your float session if possible. The high salt content
of the water can be irritating to freshly shaved, tanned, or waxed skin. Do
not worry, if you have any cuts, scrapes, or minor burns we provide
individually packaged petroleum jelly to cover and protect your skin during
a float.

New clients, please arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled time to allow
time for any questions you might have prior to your first float. It’s
important to allow this extra time so we can make sure you are able to
float for your full duration—and to help us respect all of our clients and
maintain our schedule.

Before you enter the floatation therapy room itself, you will shower
thoroughly, insert ear plugs to keep the salt out of your ears, and make
sure any scratches or small cuts are covered.

It is best to avoid eating within about an hour of floating so you have an
empty stomach and bladder. You do not want to be distracted by feeling too
full but don’t arrive hungry either. It is best to avoid caffeine within
about 4 hours prior to your float. Lastly, please do not forget to use the
bathroom before floating if you need to.

What to Bring

Floating in your birthday suit is typical and preferred, so you do not need to bring a swimsuit or bathing cap as almost everyone prefers to float with no restrictions.
You are in your own private suite the entire time, which also includes your own adjacent shower and changing area.

It's best to wear easy to remove loose clothes.  We will provide everything you need including shower, body wash, shampoo, towels, ear-plugs, petroleum jelly, and a little sweet treat to enjoy at the end!

If you would like to pack in your bag your usual post-shower products such as brush/comb, contact lenses case/solution, makeup, etc. this is great, however, we ask you to be please be cognizant of floaters after you.  We do provide a hairdryer, which is available in the restroom.

Side Effects

The positives far outweigh the one negative possibility! On very rare occasions, some first-time clients may emerge from their float feeling slightly nauseous. This may be indicative of the detoxification effects of magnesium absorption which is a positive occurrence.  Also, it's important to remain calm during your float and not to ping pong in the float. Maybe consider stretching a little in the float (avoid touching your face!) or allowing our soft music to assist in meditation efforts.

Can I Bring Someone?

Yes absolutely!  You can bring your friend, boyfriend, girlfriend, spouse, partner or family member as you are welcome.  However, your float is a private experience in a separate float room. We encourage everyone to schedule two floats (we have two float rooms) at the same time and then you and your guest can enjoy the experience individually in your private float room and then share it afterwards while relaxing in our serene lobby with some peaceful music and a cup of hot tea.
